These politicians who spout nonsense about business does not understand how to start and succeed in business. First, you need a business plan, which basically contains every thought you have about the business you want to start - from financing, profit, employees, taxes, services/goods, equipment, property, etc. If you are successful enough to start a business, you need to consider profit every day, every hour. If not, how are you going to pay your suppliers? the taxes? employees? yourself? Will the government bail you out like they did banks and car manufacturers? No. If you don't pay the taxes, there is no sympathy for you from them? So what contribution do they make to your success? Infrastructure? When was the last time you rode on the infrastructure and hit a pot hole damaging your car? Sidewalks? When the last time you tripped while walking on a public access way? Freeways? When was the last time you got to your destination in time without traffic because the freeways were moving appropriately? Government is not good when it comes to business. Government barely performs well when it is government. Think about the many departments in government you deal with on a daily basis. Do you feel it is taxes well spent? Mr. Politician - you want credit for the success of a business? Here's my advice to you - get out of the way! I want to succeed.

Social is Not Really Social
Because of a situation that happened in my life, I had to get really savvy with social media - Facebook, chat rooms, Skype, etc. I found that there are a lot of things out there with the intention of connecting people together but that, in fact, pull them apart. I had a loving and nurturing relationship with a man for 10 years, and within 1 year of his going onto the Internet, we were no longer together. He felt he only came alive when he connected with others on the Internet and found our conversations, our life, boring and unfulfilling.
Does Social Media really connect people together? No. What I found is that you don't put the truth about yourself out there, you lie about every aspect of your life; isn't that sure to disappoint once you two meet? You lose the ability to relate to living breathing individuals sitting right next to you. Another thing about it, most of the people are young and just like to show their bodies. I'm not interested in the size of a man's (you know) who lives in Sweden or France. I want to have a meaningful conversation with someone; yes, it would be nice if it was someone who didn't live next door to me; but to talk about nonsense (and that's what they post), to me is a waste of time.
So I've decided that social as in social medial is not really social, and not beneficial to the human development.

Smart But Stupid
Here I am, in my later years, being silly as a teenager. Going gaga over someone who's not fit to rake my yard. But what to do, what to do. I ask you, should I continue with a relationship that is going no where or should I use what wisdom I have and let it go? That's a question that face many men and women in a relationship. Fear of the future makes them hang on to something that is not healthy or good for them. I say: toss away the fear like a pair of unneeded crutches. Embrace the new with hope and wonderment like a child looking at a butterfly for the first time. How ever many years you have left on this cockamamie planet, don't be afraid. Get out of your rut and ACT. Live a life.

Still not convinced?
Still not convinced world? Consider this, you spend a major portion of your life caring for an individual, who because he says he is bored, drops you like a hot potato. He is so infatuated with this new love that he doesn't see the pain and hurt he is causing you. At this point, he just doesn't care anymore. Yet, he continues to come to you for help with things in life that are new to him. Will you help him? The softer side of you says go ahead; but the part that has been bruised and pained ignores him completely and tells him to just deal with it. How do you go on from here? One step at a time, with true friends and loved ones. Hopefully, you have plenty of those.

Love Lost and Found
There are too many couples in the world who suffer from love lost and found. You devote a lot of time and effort in a relationship only to have it thrown in your face when he meets someone new and exciting. However, you know that the grass is not always as green as it looks, and that the reality of life will rear its ugly head into this new fresh relationship. Then he will be wondering, oh for the good old days and the one who understood me and pumped me up, instead of criticizing and tearing me down. Then, and only then, my dear friend, will you feel justification.
